European countries to screen ‘Careless Crime’

Iranian feature film ‘Careless Crime’ has been scheduled to go on silver screens at a number of European countries.

The Trigon-film company, based in Switzerland, has bought the rights to distribute the film in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in 2021.

Directed by Shahram Mokri, ‘Careless Crime’ had its international premiere at the Horizons section of the Venice International Film Festival in Italy and won the Best Original Screenplay award at the Independent Federation of Film Critics, an event annually running on the sideline of the Italian event.

The film is being shown at the Chicago International Film Festival in the US.

The flick tells the story of some cinemagoers who are speaking about the film they are about to watch.

As the film starts to play, they get the same fate as the characters’ in the film.

Four people burn down a cinema which is showing a film about an unexploded missile.

Babak Karimi, Siavash Cheraghipour, Fariba Kamran, Mohammad Sareban, Elaheh Bakhshi, Masoumeh Beigi, Amir Shamlou, and Hamed Mahmoudi are among the cast members of the flick.
